Ozan Gogus (1990) was born in Istanbul as the second child of a medicine parents. The music, love and the sincerity in the house started his tendency of creative thinking and performing. In the early life of Ozan, music and basketball were the only passion. During the high school, he started to play in several bands and played in different music festivals. Meanwhile he was working on jazz/fusion guitar with Mustafa Dönmez. After high-school, he decided to lead his career as a professional musician. To fulfill this aim, Theoretician, Composer/Arranger and Guitar Player Güç Başar Gülle was the first stop. In MMA (Modern Music Academy) he finished his certificate curriculum as the most successful student of his generation and became an instructor after 2 years at the same school. Meanwhile he was working on
ensemble with Volkan Hürsever and with his experience he formed the band called “Cazzip Project” and perform in festivals like ”İKSV Jazz”. After the education with Güç Başar Gülle, he also improved his Piano/Keyboard skills and recorded the album of his very best friend Cem Çatık (Cem Çatık Experimentals-XIII). The album started his multi-instrumentalist carrier as well. In 2014, he applied Rotterdam Conservatory (CODARTS) and studied his bachelor program on Jazz Composition with Paul M. Van Brugge. In Holland, he performed with various musicians such as (Laurie Carpenter, Adrian Moncada, Ferhat Öz, Buket Zor, Donatas Bielunskis, Nello Biasini, Alejandro Antolini, Megan Davis etc… ) in different cities of Europe. After his education in Holland, Ozan Gogus came back his home town and working as a teacher, composer/arranger, guitar, piano/keyboard and trumpet performer and preparing for his future place in Turkeyʼs music scene.
